TX Wall Video CaptureThousands Have Participated In this Memorial Event!

This event has taken place every year since it’s inauguration in 1989 when president George Bush delivered the dedication speech. Since then, thousands of Texans and people from around the world have visited this memorial and have paid their respects to the heroes listed on the wall and to all veterans and active duty us military personnel regardless of when or where they served.

VietNam Veterans Brothers TX WallOver the last 30 years, this memorial has evolved in its meaning and its stature. For many years now it has become a focal point for all to visit and to show their love and respect for all who wore, or wear, the uniform of the united states military. In accordance with the significance of this memorial and understanding that “the Friends of the Wall”, who are charged with the maintenance of this monument, get no money from the government, city, state or federal and that they are funded only by donations from people like you and me. We are asking you, and anyone you know, to participate in this year’s event (and in next year’s 30th Anniversary Event).
